About me
Michal Brouček '64
I was born in Kladno, am a pioneer of snowboarding in the Czech Republic, and an active freeride mountain guide. In search of powder snow, I’m willing to travel not only to the Alps but also to the other side of the world. In photography, I’ve long specialized in black-and-white sports and photojournalism.
From my travels in Latin America, I have published a collection of panoramic photographs titled PACHAMAMA – Mother Earth.
My photographs won awards in the CzechPressPhoto competition, and my series of mountain photographs received the Vilém Heckel Peaks Award. I publish in magazines focused on mountaineering. I am a printer by profession, and my work involves screen printing.
